Brake tube assemblies are considered as a critical safety assembly, therefore smart transducerized tools are used which record torque & angle to fasten nuts to a specific torque with torque & angle results against VIN I.D. Before bulky pneumatic / electric cable tools were used for this process. A cordless system was developed using a tubenut head mounted to an Ingersoll Rand cordless nutrunner. This project was implemented and commissioned in various MVI assembly plants with improved assembly ergonomics and process security.
